Job Title: Medical Physicist

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Medical Physicist for a temporary assignment in Clovis, California. These positions are 0-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Medical Physicist:
• Consult with Oncologists on the physical and radiobiological aspects of patient treatment and the development of treatment plans
• Work collaboratively with all staff members, including Radiation Therapists and Dosimetrists, to ensure accurate delivery of treatments
• Ensure the accurate acquisition and storage of data for treatment plans
• Maintain responsibility for the physical aspects of all radiation sources
• Assist the department Manager/Director in training and mentoring staff
• Monitor the work of Radiation Therapists and Dosimetrists
• Maintain valid licensure and required certifications
• Complete required compliance documentation and credentialing requirements
