Job Title: Mother-Baby
Location: Bozeman, Montana
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 4
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $65 – $70/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Mother-Baby for a temporary assignment in Bozeman, Montana. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Mother-Baby:
• Must be able to catch/transition nurse
• Must be able to act as Charge Nurse
• Must be willing to float to other departments as a safety companion
• L&D experience (antepartum, intrapartum, preop, circulate, PACU) preferred
• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation (Assessment)
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis)
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation
• Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care)
• Implement the identified plan of care
• Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment
• Systematically enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice
• Attain knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice
• Evaluate one’s own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards, guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations
• Interact with and contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues
• Collaborate with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice
• Integrate ethical provisions in all areas of practice
• Integrate research findings into practice
• Provide leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession
• Maintain current Montana Registered Nurse licensure
• Maintain American Heart Association BLS certification
• Maintain STABLE certification
• Maintain Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification with recertification every 2 years
• Demonstrate competence in and willingness to practice modified primary nursing
• Complete all required education on time per DNV requirements and other registry requirements
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines related to care for patients with hyperacute and acute stroke
• Participate in two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education within one year of hire
• Participate in one hour annually of cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education
• Work varied shifts including weekends and after-hours as needed
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as required
