Job Title: MED-SURG
Location: Murphysboro, Illinois
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $52 – $56/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Murphysboro, Illinois. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:
• Work night shift hours from 7 PM to 7 AM
• Provide care for Medical-Surgical patients with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Participate in the Swing Bed Program with a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for Progressive Care Unit (PCU) level patients with a 1:3-4 ratio depending on drip requirements
• Maintain current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Maintain current CPR/BLS certification
• Maintain current ACLS certification
• Work every other weekend as scheduled
• Work every other holiday as scheduled
• Participate in unit-based committees and shared decision-making initiatives
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to balance nursing workload and patient acuity assignments
• Provide care across blended unit settings including Medical-Surgical, Swing Bed, and PCU levels of care
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and safety standards for patient care delivery
