Job Title: L&D
Location: Lancaster, Ohio
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 4
Term: 8-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $52 – $56/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a L&D for a temporary assignment in Lancaster, Ohio. These positions are 8-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a L&D:
• Must have Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certificate
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care of each patient according to the nursing process
• Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care/pathway
• Provide education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process
• Provide thorough, concise, accurate, and legible documentation of the nursing process/pathway
• Notify physician of pertinent observations and changes in the status of the patient
• Administer medications and perform treatments in an accurate and safe manner
• Implement physician orders as written
• Assure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to the proper department
• Accept responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care
• Maintain valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
• Maintain current CPR/BLS certification
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions
• Create and maintain a safe and clean work environment and report unsafe conditions to appropriate individuals
• Comply with established policies, procedures, work instructions, and guidelines
• Complete all mandatory education and participate in learning events and opportunities to enhance on-the-job performance
• Supervise and direct the work of Nursing Assistants in a professional manner
• Demonstrate empathy, integrity, teamwork, and agility in delivering patient and family-centered care
