Location: Waimea, Hawaii
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $62 – $67/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a PT for a temporary assignment in Waimea, Hawaii. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a PT:
• Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments as primary duties
• Provide care in inpatient settings (25%), including acute, ICU, and SNF environments
• Provide care in outpatient settings (75%) with thorough and independent care approaches
• Manage all outpatient diagnoses with a high degree of independence appropriate for a rural setting
• Support acute to SNF inpatient mobility progression with knowledge of discharge planning
• Work in the Emergency Room (ER), ICU, and Med/Surg units including Acute, Observation, and SNF
• Provide occasional coverage in OB settings
• Work extensively in the hospital-based Outpatient PT Clinic
• Manage a full PT schedule consisting of a mix of inpatients and outpatients seen every 30-45 minutes, with one-hour slots for new evaluations
• See between 5 and 15 patients per day depending on schedule mix
• Obtain Hawaii Physical Therapy license prior to or immediately upon start
• Comply with holiday work requirements as applicable
• Submit date of arrival and any outstanding compliance items upon confirmation of assignment
