Job Title: Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP)
Location: San Francisco, California
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $150 – $161/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a temporary assignment in San Francisco, California. These positions are 26-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP):
• Work in arthroplasty clinic on Mondays and Fridays, with Monday co-clinic and every other Friday co-clinic
• Conduct perioperative telephone visits on Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Split Wednesday schedule between arthroplasty clinic in the afternoon and administrative time in the morning
• Perform preoperative and perioperative clinic visits, including preparation visits for surgical patients
• Manage a patient load of 18-20 patients per day, all adult population
• Focus primarily on hip and knee replacement (total joint arthroplasty) patient care
• Perform injections as required within the orthopedic clinic setting
• Utilize Epic EMR system for all clinical documentation
• Conduct telemedicine/telehealth visits as part of scheduled perioperative telephone visits
• Work collaboratively with clinic support staff including Medical Assistants and practice coordinator
• Operate independently in the prepare/perioperative clinic setting
• Maintain board certification in one of the required NP specialties (A-GNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, or ACNPC)
• Maintain active California state licensure and California DEA with Schedule 2/2n
• Maintain current BLS certification (AHA)
• Apply a minimum of 3-5 years of orthopedic experience in clinical practice
• Adhere to COVID-19 vaccination requirements including booster
