Job Title: Electrophysiologist
Location: Springfield, Oregon
Schedule: 5:00AM – 1:30PM x 5
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $341 – $368/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Electrophysiologist for a temporary assignment in Springfield, Oregon. These positions are 26-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Electrophysiologist:
• Provide Electrophysiology (EP) Cardiology coverage as a locum MD/DO for a 6-month assignment with potential 3-month extension • Work 8-hour clinic shifts for 3-4 days per week • Provide weekend EP call coverage 1-2 times per month, approximately 2 weeks per month • Cover weekend EP telephone call after 5pm and perform rounding and inpatient pacemaker implantation Saturday and Sunday from 7am-5pm (approximately 5 hours per day) • Perform required procedures including inpatient pacemaker implantation and DCCV Cardioversion • Provide both inpatient and outpatient care services • Round and manage admissions for inpatient cases • Care for a primarily geriatric patient population (age 50 and older) with an average of 3-4 patients per day in a 388-bed facility • Collaborate with Interventional and General Cardiology providers on weekend call coverage • Demonstrate active cardiology practice with documentation of at least 100 inpatients in the past 24 months in an accredited hospital or healthcare facility • Provide documentation of a minimum of 30 electrophysiology cases representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested during the previous 24 months • If ablation privileges are requested, provide documentation of a minimum of 30 ablation cases in the previous year • Maintain valid MD/DO licensure and Board Certification in Cardiac Electrophysiology • Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross • Utilize Epic EMR system for clinical documentation • Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements • Participate in orientation tasks on the first day of assignment • Complete 8 hours of non-billable orientation • All hours worked during gratis weekend 24-hour call will be covered under the gratis agreement
