Job Title: Cardiologist
Location: Bellingham, Washington
Schedule: 7:30AM – 5:30PM x 5
Term: 36-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $261 – $281/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Cardiologist for a temporary assignment in Bellingham, Washington. These positions are 36-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Cardiologist:
• Provide Cardiology – General (.25 FTE) and Electrophysiology (.25 FTE) coverage for a 9-month duration
• Perform rounding and admissions for adult patient demographics
• Manage an average patient census of 8-10 patients per day for General Cardiology
• Perform required procedures including Cardioversions and TEEs (approximately 2-4 TEEs per shift) for General Cardiology
• EP physicians to perform full spectrum electrophysiology procedures from pacemakers to ablations
• General Cardiology physicians to work in a hospital-only setting; EP physicians to work in both hospital and clinic settings
• Maintain and provide documentation of cardiovascular disease services representative of scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 months
• EP applicants must provide documentation of a minimum of 100 electrophysiology cases within the previous 24 months
• Obtain and maintain appropriate hospital privileges (and clinic privileges for EP)
• Collaborate with APC support staff available Monday through Saturday
• Utilize Epic EMR system for all clinical documentation
• Maintain valid WA state licensure (IMLC accepted)
• Maintain current required certifications including ACLS and BLS
• Adhere to COVID-19 vaccine requirements with no exemptions
• Complete 8 hours of non-billable orientation
• Adhere to on-call requirements including 4 hours of gratis call coverage
• Travel between locations as required within established caps
• Maintain a minimum of 1 year of experience in a comparable specialty or setting
