Job Title: Oncologist
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 2:00PM – 10:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $216 – $232/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Oncologist for a temporary assignment in York, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Oncologist:
• Provide coverage for Gynecology Oncology specialty
• Work Day OR/Office shifts with after-hours call only (APPs take first call) Monday through Friday
• Perform clinic duties from 8:00am to 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break
• Perform OR shifts ranging from 7:00 or 8:00am to 4:00 or 5:00pm (8-hour days)
• Provide 24-hour call coverage on weekends
• See approximately 15-20 patients per day in the office setting, with OR cases as needed
• Care for adult patient population (ages 18 and older)
• Collaborate with a team consisting of 1 surgeon, 3 APPs, and 2 Medical Assistants
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation
• Work within an academic hospital setting with residents assigned to the service on rotation
• Work within an ambulatory surgery center and medical group practice clinic environment
• Maintain Board Certification (BC or BE) in Gynecology Oncology
• Maintain an active Pennsylvania license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
• Maintain an active DEA registration
• Adhere to a 2-hour gratis period for 24-hour call assignments
• Ensure full compliance with credentialing requirements two weeks prior to start date
