Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a PT for a permanent assignment in Republic, Washington.
Responsibilities for a PT:
• Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and consults with other specialists
• Reviews patients’ functional needs and adjusts care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Designs and implements a plan of care for patients based on a thorough assessment of potential development and incorporates participation by significant others whenever appropriate
• Conducts therapy practice within defined standards of care
• Directs the assistance of support staff to achieve patients’ functional goals
• Communicates effectively with other professional and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes
• Practices hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
• Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans; regularly updates documentation and maintains prescriptions and signatures
• Enhances professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops; keeps current with professional literature
• Acts as a resource to promote physical therapy in the community
• Performs related duties as assigned by management
• Meets dress code standards for the department
• Checks work email at a minimum of once per shift
• Completes all mandatory education within given timeframe
• Maintains regulatory requirements
• Reports to work on time and as scheduled
• Attends annual review and department in-services as scheduled
• Attends at least 75% of staff meetings; reviews all monthly staff meeting minutes
• Actively participates in the department’s quality improvement (QI) activities
• Complies with all organizational policies and ethical business practices
• Maintains confidentiality in accordance with organizational policy, state and federal regulations, including HIPAA
• Requires graduation from an accredited physical therapy program
• Requires current Washington State license from the Board of Physical Therapy Examiners or application in process
• At least one year of experience as a physical therapist preferred
