Job Title: ICU
Location: Globe, Arizona
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $68 – $74/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ICU for a temporary assignment in Globe, Arizona. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a ICU:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for post-surgical patients, post cardiac catheterizations with post PCI, respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, AKI, and unstable arrhythmias
• Initiate, titrate, and manage vasopressors, thrombolytics, antihypertensives, antidiabetics, and sedation
• Perform ventilator management
• Conduct hemodynamic monitoring
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Manage sepsis protocols
• Manage central lines
• Manage arterial lines
• Manage chest tubes
• Administer blood products
• Operate medication infusion pumps, rapid infusers, bedside cardiac monitors, mechanical ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and bladder scanner
• Maintain critical care patient ratios of 2:1, step-down ratios of 4:1, and standard ratios of 6:1
• Float to Med/Surg, Tele, Step-Down, and Observation floors as needed
• Work 12-hour shifts with on-call requirements
• Comply with flu vaccine requirement with no exceptions
• Adhere to a maximum of 3 days of requested time off per 13-week contract
