Location: ST JOHNSBURY, Vermont
Schedule: 4:00PM – 4:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $61 – $66/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ED for a temporary assignment in ST JOHNSBURY, Vermont. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a ED:
• Assess, prioritize, and deliver emergency care by providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and emergencies while utilizing strong clinical judgment and prioritization skills
• Collaborate across the care team by partnering closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS personnel, and inpatient teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Respond effectively in a fast-paced environment by managing multiple patient needs simultaneously, adapting quickly to changing clinical situations, and maintaining high-quality care under pressure
• Promote safe, accurate, and efficient care by documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately while adhering to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based emergency nursing practices
• Maintain current Vermont RN License or Compact Multi-State RN License
• Maintain current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrate a minimum of three years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Utilize Meditech charting system for documentation, with the ability to learn the system quickly
• Work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment in a rural emergency department environment
• Maintain reliable personal transportation as public transportation and rideshare services are not available in the area
• Secure personal housing accommodations prior to assignment start
• Submit all required credentialing documentation no later than five business days before the scheduled start date
• Comply with flu vaccination requirement with no exceptions
• Begin shifts on Wednesdays per traveler scheduling requirements
