Job Title: Observation Unit
Location: Zanesville, Ohio
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $52 – $56/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Observation Unit for a temporary assignment in Zanesville, Ohio. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Observation Unit:
• Work primarily on 3 North Long Term Observation unit with required floating to other Med-Surg units including Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac, and possibly the ED if appropriately skilled
• Work 36 hours per week on day shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Work every other weekend as required
• Demonstrate current and proficient Epic EMR skills (refresher classes or 1:1 assistance are not available)
• Pass Telemetry/BCRA competency test on day one of assignment
• Read and interpret Telemetry/BCRA accurately and independently
• Maintain active BLS certification
• Maintain active ACLS certification
• Apply a minimum of 3 years of current/recent Telemetry/Med-Surg experience
• Take call on a rare as-needed basis
• Comply with facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
• Adhere to scheduled start date of November 4th or November 16th (unless a returning traveler within 9 months)
