Job Title: Oncologist
Location: Lewisburg, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 5-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $416 – $448/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Oncologist for a temporary assignment in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. These positions are 5-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Oncologist:
• Practice in a Hematology/Oncology specialty setting within a newly opening Medical Oncology and Hematology practice
• Work full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Participate in weeknight and weekend call coverage on a 1:2 rotation
• See approximately 10 adult patients per day (18+), with patient volume expected to grow
• Provide care in a community-based general oncology and hematology practice setting
• Conduct hospital visits for inpatient consults as needed, as the clinic is located inside the hospital
• Manage a case mix of approximately 40% Hematology and 60% Oncology
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including front office staff, RN, MA, and a Navigator
• Utilize Epic (EMR) for all clinical documentation
• Maintain Board Certification (BC) or Board Eligibility (BE) in Oncology
• Maintain an active PA license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
• Maintain an active DEA registration
• Complete credentialing requirements within the 90-day credentialing timeframe
• Submit required compliance documentation, including Social Security Number, photo, and PATCH results within 5 days of signing
• Schedule Department of Human Services Fingerprint collection and Child Abuse Search as required
• Meet all health requirements including vaccines, physical, and fit testing
• Ensure full compliance is completed two weeks prior to start date
