Location: Providence, Rhode Island
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 9-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $75 – $81/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OR for a temporary assignment in Providence, Rhode Island. These positions are 9-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a OR:
• Provide registered nursing care in a Perioperative (Operating Room) setting
• Work night shifts, 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts (7p-7a)
• Work weekends and holidays as required with no exceptions
• Flex between shift assignments as needed, with shifts predominantly nights
• Perform surgical/perioperative procedures including C-sections, D&C, PPTL, and D&E
• Utilize Epic EMR system for clinical documentation
• Maintain active RN licensure (state or compact, as applicable)
• Maintain current BLS certification (AHA)
• Apply minimum 1-2 years of recent OB/Periop OR experience in daily practice
• Complete required skills checklists, competency exams, and core competency evaluations
• Complete pharmacology and basic EKG exams as required
• Comply with all vaccination requirements including flu and COVID-19 vaccines
• Maintain up-to-date health records including MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, TB testing, and fit testing
• Submit 2 professional references prior to assignment
• Complete required onboarding documentation including confidentiality agreements, orientation packets, and employment verification
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
