Location: Big Sky, Montana
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $65 – $70/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ED for a temporary assignment in Big Sky, Montana. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a ED:
• Work in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team
• Plan and implement patient and family education
• Assess patient needs and initiate appropriate interventions
• Maintain current Montana Registered Nurse licensure, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale Certification, and PALS or ENPC certification
• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation (Assessment)
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis)
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation
• Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care)
• Implement the identified plan of care
• Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment
• Systematically enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice
• Attain knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice
• Evaluate one’s own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards, guidelines, statutes, rules, and regulations
• Interact with and contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues
• Collaborate with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice
• Integrate ethical provisions in all areas of practice
• Integrate research findings into practice
• Provide leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines related to care for patients with hyper acute and acute stroke
• Participate in a minimum of four hours annually of stroke education
• Complete six hours of verifiable trauma-related education annually
• Complete all required education on time as assigned per DNV requirements and other registry requirements
• Demonstrate sound judgment, patience, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and after-hours shifts as needed
• Respond promptly to on-call requirements as needed
• Practice modified primary nursing with competence, willingness, and ability
