Job Title: Oncology Nurse Practitioner
Location: Fremont, California
Schedule: 7:00AM – 5:00PM x 4
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $146 – $158/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a temporary assignment in Fremont, California. These positions are 26-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Oncology Nurse Practitioner:
• Provide advanced practice care in a solid tumor oncology outpatient clinic setting
• See up to 12 patients per day, with an average of approximately 8 patients daily
• Conduct pre-chemotherapy visits and short-term follow-up visits
• Perform triage and respond to infusion reactions, iron infusions, and non-oncology infusions as needed
• May perform initial hematology consults on occasion
• Work collaboratively with support staff including medical assistants, nurse navigators, and other APPs
• Utilize EPIC EMR for all clinical documentation
• Work full-time, 4×10 schedule weekly
• Maintain valid CA license (required for NP; preferred for PA)
• Maintain appropriate board certification if NP (A-GNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, or ACNPC)
• Maintain active CA DEA license with Schedule 2 prescribing authority
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of oncology experience
• Adhere to COVID-19 vaccination requirements including booster (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Participate in phone screen and additional interview as part of the credentialing and onboarding process
