Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $198 – $213/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a CRNA for a locum tenens assignment in Ketchikan, Alaska. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a CRNA:
• Provide anesthesia services as a CRNA or MD/DO in an inpatient critical access hospital setting
• Work a standard Monday through Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with evening and weekend call coverage
• Participate in call rotation, currently structured as 2 on/2 off, depending on other provider availability
• Perform 24-hour call shifts inclusive of 4 hours of gratis time
• Perform admissions as part of rounding and patient management responsibilities
• Provide anesthesia coverage for general surgery cases, endoscopies, total joints, arthroscopies, peripheral nerve blocks, urology, ENT, gynecology, C-sections, pediatric cases (dental, ENT, and orthopedic), and labor epidurals
• Manage an average of 5 to 15 patient contacts per day across all age groups
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Hospitalist, and Emergency Department physicians
• Maintain active Alaska state licensure prior to start
• Maintain current ACLS, ATLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
• Demonstrate proficiency in the Epic EMR system for clinical documentation
• Adhere to COVID-19 vaccine requirements with no exemptions
• Maintain required clinical activity and case logs within the last 24 months
