Job Title: ER MED-SURG
Location: Fort Defiance, Arizona
Schedule: 4:00PM – 4:00AM x 3
Term: 16-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $72 – $77/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ER MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Fort Defiance, Arizona. These positions are 16-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a ER MED-SURG:
• Minimum of two (2) years recent RN experience in the Emergency Department specialty required
• Rotate regularly through the Main ED (11 beds), ED Fast Track (6 beds), and ED Observation Unit (7 beds)
• Assigned to various areas including Triage, Quick Registration, Covid Tent, and Entry Screening
• May be assigned to a different area at minimum daily and rotated during shifts based on patient volume and unit needs
• Assist with Covid testing and/or immunization clinics as needed
• Work Day Shift (7a-7p) with potential shift changes during contract to accommodate staffing needs
• Follow a schedule typically consisting of 7 on, 7 off with 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next
• Float to other departments as needed, which may include taking a patient load if experienced and competent or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones
• Maintain current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Maintain current ACLS certification
• Maintain current PALS or ENPC certification
• Maintain current TNCC certification
• Obtain conscious sedation certification (obtained through facility after confirmation)
