Job Title: MED-SURG
Location: Warwick, Rhode Island
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $68 – $74/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Warwick, Rhode Island. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:
• Provide patient care services as a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg Float Pool on night shifts
• Float between units as needed within the float pool assignment
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for clinical documentation
• Complete required skills checklist prior to submission
• Complete specialty competency exam, basic EKG exam, pharmacology exam, and core competencies upon onboarding
• Maintain valid state nursing licensure verified through Nursys
• Comply with all vaccination requirements including COVID-19 and influenza vaccines
• Complete required health screenings including TB testing, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, and fit testing
• Submit 2 professional references prior to submission
• Complete criminal background check and employment verification upon onboarding
• Complete RI fingerprinting requirement (RN only) upon onboarding
• Complete and sign confidentiality agreement and work attestation documentation
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Maintain a valid Driver’s License or State ID
