Job Title: ER MED-SURG
Location: Winnebago, Nebraska
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 4
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $61 – $66/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ER MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Winnebago, Nebraska. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a ER MED-SURG:
• Assess patients presenting for emergency care and triage based on history, physical assessment, and chief complaint
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for acutely ill and/or critically ill patients
• Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician, including medication administration, intravenous fluids, blood transfusions, and ongoing treatments
• Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and service providers to ensure optimal patient care services
• Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by a physician
• Clean and bandage wounds
• Display professionalism while completing multiple urgent tasks
• Record all care information concisely, accurately, and efficiently in the appropriate format on the appropriate forms
• Maintain punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts
• Complete orientation as required by supervisor
• Respect tribal/cultural traditions and practices
• Adhere to and uphold HIPAA regulations
• Maintain current certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP, and CPR
• Utilize the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice
