Job Title: L&D
Location: Laramie, Wyoming
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 8-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $88 – $95/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a L&D for a temporary assignment in Laramie, Wyoming. These positions are 8-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a L&D:
• Special care nursery and NICU experience required
• Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of care for patients within scope of practice
• Provide education to patients according to their individual needs
• Transcribe, utilize, and implement protocols and physician orders
• Coordinate the healthcare team and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel
• Maintain current, valid RN license in good standing with the Board of Nursing
• Maintain current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification throughout employment
• Maintain current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if performing circulating or recovery room for C-section, as determined by the Department Director
• Maintain current, valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if caring for Pediatrics
• Maintain current, valid Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification throughout employment on the Family Care Unit
• Complete Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring class within the first year after completion of orientation if working in Labor and Delivery
• Complete Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring class within three (3) years of completion of labor orientation if working in Labor and Delivery
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills including friendliness, tact, patience, empathy, and a professional attitude
• Communicate effectively with staff, managers, and the general public both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrate effective listening, organization, and time management skills
• Apply exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to establish priorities effectively
• Work effectively without immediate supervision
• Recognize and protect confidential information
• Demonstrate ethical and legal accountability for the position
• Perform other duties as assigned
