Location: Herrin, Illinois
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $68 – $74/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OR for a temporary assignment in Herrin, Illinois. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a OR:
• Work 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (0700-1730)
• Fulfill call requirements including 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days per month, with potential for additional call based on departmental needs
• Perform heavy Ortho, Urology, Spine, and Robotic procedures
• Must be able to circulate in the operating room setting
• Float to other facilities as needed
• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team
• Provide explanations and instructions to patients and/or responsible persons
• Demonstrate ability to use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care
• Participate in continuing education
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records
• Maintain current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Maintain current CPR/BLS certification
• Maintain current ACLS certification
