Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a PT for a permanent assignment in Bethel, Alaska.
Responsibilities for a PT:
• Manage a hospital-based inpatient and outpatient physical therapy clinic
• Demonstrate commitment to patient-centered excellence, employee focus, Alaska Native workforce development, community and partner satisfaction, and financial viability
• Support medical staff and participate in interdisciplinary team functions
• Promote a team atmosphere and the professional development of all department staff
• Provide patient care including skilled physical therapy evaluations and establishment of treatment plans
• Optimize department revenue streams and manage department expenses to promote financial viability
• Balance expectations for reports, audits, and tracking measures with other clinic demands
• Promote and adhere to compliance with all corporate, state, and federal governing body guidelines for physical therapy practice
• Coordinate an orthopedic specialty field clinic, including screening and prioritizing of all referrals
• Collaborate with corporate teams to build administrative processes
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Maintain valid Alaska Physical Therapist license in good standing
• Utilize office equipment including computers, telephones, fax machines, and copy machines
• Operate standard physical therapy department equipment including hi-lo tables, therapeutic exercise equipment, ultrasound, and electric stimulation modalities
• Travel to village-based clinics via small, non-pressurized planes as needed
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Create and manage spreadsheets and graphs using MS Excel
• Develop and deliver professional presentations using MS PowerPoint
• Apply advanced reasoning skills to handle complex administrative and patient care situations
• Provide proof of completed COVID vaccinations
