Job Title: Gastroenterologist
Location: Vancouver, Washington
Schedule: 6:45AM – 4:45PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $383 – $412/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Gastroenterologist for a temporary assignment in Vancouver, Washington. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Gastroenterologist:
• Provide gastroenterology services as an MD/DO in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Perform outpatient endoscopy cases, primarily screening colonoscopies, on an 8am-5pm schedule
• Follow up with patients on results from endoscopy cases
• Perform general GI procedures; advanced procedures (ERCP, EUS) preferred
• Provide inpatient rounding and admissions coverage
• Participate in call coverage as required
• Manage an average of 12-15 patients per day
• Perform read studies remotely after hours as needed
• Collaborate with onsite APC support during weekday daytime hours
• Maintain current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Utilize Epic EMR system for all documentation and charting
• Maintain valid MD/DO licensure
• Provide documentation of clinical services (case list of 100 patients) representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 months, including diagnosis or procedure, date, and facility where performed
• Comply with flu vaccine requirement (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Indicate availability for call, outpatient, or both, and willingness to perform clinic duties upon submission
