Job Title: Hospice
Location: Albany, Oregon
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $57 – $62/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Hospice for a temporary assignment in Albany, Oregon. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Hospice:
• Support patients and family members through the final stages of their illness as a Hospice Nurse
• Provide intermittent skilled nursing visits and 24-hour on-call nursing services as needed
• Assist with pain and symptom management for hospice patients
• Deliver care across multiple settings including patients’ own residences, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and adult foster homes
• Travel to multiple points of care, including coastal locations, using a personal automobile
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and required auto liability/property damage insurance
• Keep personal vehicle in good working order to support work assignments
• Maintain current, unencumbered Oregon RN Licensure
• Maintain Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification
• Apply broad-based nursing experience to meet the specialized demands of hospice nursing
• Utilize case management skills and experience in home health or hospice settings
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including medical social workers, counselors, spiritual support staff, hospice aides, and volunteers
• Support bereavement services for patients’ families as appropriate
• Coordinate and manage medications and equipment as appropriate to patient care plans
