Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Manager for a permanent assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Responsibilities for a Manager:
• Assist with the leadership of the department by effectively managing and supervising nursing personnel, promoting a positive, professional attitude and high quality of care
• Responsible for the hiring and development of nursing staff
• Assist with completing performance appraisals as delegated
• Evaluate quality and quantity of nursing care and recommend changes and programs to the Director
• Consistently serve as a resource person for nursing staff, ancillary personnel, and/or community
• Respond to Variance and Incident reports in a timely manner
• Direct the discipline’s Performance Improvement program and continuously seek to improve the quality of care; institute practice changes based on evaluation; support interdisciplinary performance quality improvement efforts to improve patient care
• Ensure complete and accurate documentation of patient care according to established policies and standards
• Ensure that supplies and equipment are maintained in keeping with established practices
• Assist with the day-to-day operation within the nursing unit to promote the delivery of quality services according to established policies and procedures
• Provide direct patient care
• Demonstrate ongoing growth and development through active self-reflection and personal competency development strategies
• Maintain valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Obtain Chemotherapy Certification within one year of hire (for Cancer Care Infusion position)
• Perform other duties as assigned
