Location: Lawton, Oklahoma
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $55 – $60/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OR for a temporary assignment in Lawton, Oklahoma. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a OR:
• Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the operating room and other areas of perioperative services for all patient populations
• Act as a patient advocate throughout all aspects of care delivery
• Meet surgical standards of nursing practice
• Set priorities, organize workload effectively, manage changes in assignment, and integrate multiple assignments with multilevel personnel
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and attentiveness to detail
• Apply thorough knowledge of sterile technique in all applicable procedures
• Maintain commitment to team concept and strong commitment to task completion
• Develop and implement total nursing care for patients through assessment, nursing diagnosis, and patient care planning
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice
• Participate in and implement age-specific care and interaction for all patient populations including pediatric and geriatric
• Attend and implement departmental orientation and training requirements
• Collaborate with the healthcare team including RN, LPN, NA, Physician, and ancillary disciplines in the assessment of the patient and family
• Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients and conduct reassessments as per policy
• Adequately assess and reassess pain and utilize appropriate pain management techniques
• Maintain current Oklahoma Registered Nurse licensure
