Job Title: Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP)
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $126 – $136/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a locum tenens assignment in Boston, Massachusetts. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP):
• Work 3x 13-hour shifts per week, 6a-7p; no nights, no holidays
• Provide inpatient patient care in a Pediatric Neurosurgery setting
• Round with residents at the start of each day to receive and review the plan for patients
• Review and enter orders for patients as needed
• Assess and see patients who require in-person evaluation
• Manage orders and coordinate patient discharge planning
• Perform patient care duties only; does not assist in the OR
• Demonstrate preferred ability to remove drains, including hemovac and JP drains
• Utilize Epic as the primary charting and documentation system
• Maintain a minimum of 1 year of neurosurgery experience
• Hold active Board Certification in Neurosurgery
• Maintain valid Massachusetts state licensure
• Complete credentialing requirements within the required timeframe
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
