Job Title: MED-SURG
Location: Fort Defiance, Arizona
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $62 – $67/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Fort Defiance, Arizona. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:
• Perform case management and coordinate the discharge planning care process for age-appropriate in-patients with chronic diseases and special health care needs
• Provide care coordination across multiple units including Multi-Service Unit, Intensive Care Unit, OB Units, and Adolescent Care Unit
• Maintain a tracking system for referred patients for admission with other healthcare facilities
• Conduct chart reviews for requested services related to return to facility or discharge home
• Work an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Attend staff meetings when scheduled
• Attend New Employee Orientation as required
• Maintain a minimum of two (2) years of experience in discharge planning and Med-Surg settings
• Apply RN experience in clinical, medical/surgical, acute, and/or critical care settings
• Maintain a valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in any U.S. State or Territory
• Maintain a valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ensure clearance is completed 7 days prior to the scheduled start date
