Job Title: Audiologist
Location: Greenbrae, California
Schedule: 8:00AM – 4:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $68 – $74/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Audiologist for a temporary assignment in Greenbrae, California. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Audiologist:
• Hold a Doctor of Audiology degree (preferred) or a Masters degree or equivalent
• Maintain a current California Audiologist License; California Dispensing Audiologist License preferred
• Provide audiological services including screening, diagnostic, and (re)habilitation
• Provide all services related to hearing aids, including hearing aid evaluations, counseling patients and families regarding evaluation results, electroacoustic and real ear testing, trouble-shooting hearing aid failure, adjusting and programming hearing aids, and managing related hardware/software
• Perform earmold impressions and modifications of earmolds
• Provide audiological services to patients of all ages, from birth to extreme age
• Conduct hearing screenings in the Intensive Care Nursery
• Perform auditory brainstem screenings of the pediatric population
• Administer otoacoustic emissions testing and other age-specific/function-specific procedures
• Consult with physicians, teachers, parents, and others regarding results and recommendations
• Prepare formal written reports for physicians and other referral sources
• Respond to community requests for information related to hearing, hearing loss, and available services
• Exchange information with other staff regarding mutual patients
• Respond to convalescent, rehabilitation, and acute hospitals for out-of-office visits as requested
