Salary: $143520.00 – $200000.00
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a RAD TECH for a permanent assignment in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Responsibilities for a RAD TECH:
• Plan treatment techniques that deliver prescribed dosage of radiation
• Obtain and/or supervise obtaining patient data for taking patient contours, localization files, CT scans and port films
• Coordinate simulations with tumor localization procedures
• Enter dosage calculations in patients’ radiation therapy chart
• Supervise therapists in the implementation of treatment plans
• Complete and/or assist in planning and building beam modifying devices
• Obtain localization films for intracavity insertions, calculate isodose distributions and prepare sources for loading
• Assist in brachytherapy procedures
• Perform radiation room surveys of patients having intracavity or interstitial procedures
• Assist with maintaining radioactive sources
• Provide technical assistance to the Radiation Physicist
• Utilize Eclipse Treatment Planning, Mosaiq Record & Verify, Radformation, RadCalc and Mobius systems
• Maintain credentialing as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist by the American Association of Medical Dosimetry
