Job Title: MED-SURG/ONCOLOGY
Location: Sidney, Montana
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $65 – $70/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG/ONCOLOGY for a temporary assignment in Sidney, Montana. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED-SURG/ONCOLOGY:
• Maintain 2 years of chemotherapy administration experience and EPIC experience
• Work day shift, Monday through Friday
• Hold ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certification
• Serve as a member of the cancer care team working in the Infusion area
• Deliver professional oncology nursing care ensuring adherence to Cancer Care policies and nursing procedures, standards and practices
• Support continued quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental and/or infection control standards
• Perform assessment of health history and address physician orders
• Assist with in-office procedures
• Provide patient and family education
• Administer chemotherapy treatments
• Manage cancer symptoms
• Monitor patients through frequent visits addressing their physical state and emotional well-being
• Act as the primary conduit of communication with patients, relaying patient information and feedback to physicians
• Provide direct nursing care, including triage of patient care needs
• Apply clinical knowledge, judgment, and decision-making skills to analyze and act on patient care issues
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Cancer Care Director or Physician Services Senior Leader
