Job Title: MED-SURG
Location: Lawton, Oklahoma
Schedule: 12:00AM – 12:00AM x 2
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $29 – $32/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Lawton, Oklahoma. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:
• Provide nursing care services as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a Medical/Surgical Adult unit
• Deliver patient care during Day shift hours
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and other clinical procedures as required
• Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and care needs
• Maintain current LPN licensure and required certifications
• Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and standards of care for the Medical/Surgical unit
