Job Title: Radiation Oncologist
Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $308 – $332/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Radiation Oncologist for a temporary assignment in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Radiation Oncologist:
• Provide coverage in Radiation Oncology specialty within a hospital practice setting
• Monitor and oversee the linear accelerator machine during scheduled shifts
• Respond to emergent situations as they arise within the department
• Perform occasional patient follow-up as needed
• Work with an interdisciplinary support team including nurses, therapists, physicists, and dosimetrists
• Provide care for adult patient population ages 18 and older (including adolescents and geriatrics)
• Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and patient records
• Maintain Board Certification in Radiation Oncology
• Maintain active PA license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ) in hand
• Maintain active DEA registration
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of experience in a comparable specialty/setting
• Provide flexible availability including 1-2 day coverage shifts and vacation coverage as needed
• Adhere to weekday schedule of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break
• Complete full credentialing compliance requirements within the required timeframe
• Submit required credentialing documentation including Social Security Number, photo, and background check results within required deadlines
• Complete required health requirements including vaccines, physical, and fit testing
• Schedule and complete Child Abuse Search and Department of Human Services fingerprint collection within required timeframe
