Job Title: Endocrinologist
Location: Long Beach, California
Schedule: 10:00PM – 6:30AM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $201 – $216/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Endocrinologist for a temporary assignment in Long Beach, California. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Endocrinologist:
• Cover one week at a time, including half a day of clinic, rounding in the hospital, and availability for weeknight and weekend call coverage
• Respond to call coverage from ER, NICU, PICU, inpatient hospitalists, and other departments as needed
• Conduct clinic visits, with video visits available as an option
• Manage insulin pump therapy for pediatric patients
• Manage continuous glucose monitoring for pediatric patients
• Supervise the infusion center performing stimulation testing and other endocrine tests
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and charting
• Maintain active California medical license
• Maintain board certification or board eligibility within the required timeframe
• Maintain a clean malpractice and background history to ensure timely privileging
• Complete required non-billable computer modules (approximately 4 hours) prior to start
• Report any additional time spent on modules beyond the standard allotment
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
