Job Title: OR
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Schedule: 6:00AM – 2:30PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $55 – $60/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OR for a temporary assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a OR:
• Circulate cases independently across multiple specialties including General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetrics, and Gynecology
• Assist with turnover cleaning between cases
• Transport patients as needed
• Schedule cases as required
• Utilize EPIC, Pyxis, and Provation systems for documentation and medication management
• Maintain a minimum of 2 to 3 years of circulating experience in a hospital setting
• Ability to scrub cases is preferred
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Maintain a valid State of Hawaii RN license
• Work variable shifts based on department needs within Monday through Friday operating hours of 0645 to 2315
• Be available for call coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, averaging 1 to 2 call shifts per week plus up to 2 weekends per month
• Must reside within a 30-minute radius of the hospital for call back requirements
• Complete orientation on day shift for up to one week or at manager’s discretion
• Complete a minimum of 39 shifts during the duration of the contract if requested time off is approved
• Arrive the Thursday before the contract start date to attend required employee health appointment on Friday
