Job Title: Urologist
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $370 – $398/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Urologist for a temporary assignment in York, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Urologist:
• Provide coverage for Urology specialty in both clinic and OR/call settings
• Work clinic schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts) with a 1-hour lunch break
• Provide 24-hour call coverage as needed
• See approximately 24-28 patients per day in a mixed clinic setting combining cystoscopy/stent procedures with office visits
• Supervise and oversee new Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs)
• Perform core urological procedures including vasectomy, cystoscopy (in OR), prostate procedures, ureteroscopy (in OR), lithotripsy, and orchiopexy
• Perform vasectomy reversals and penile plication procedures as required
• Perform penile implants on rare occasions
• Provide circumcision support on rare occasions during call if OB requires assistance
• Utilize robotic surgery as part of surgical practice
• Perform scoped procedures if applicable to individual practice
• Operate cystoscope and towers and administer injections using available office equipment
• Work across multiple operating rooms at designated surgical sites (16 total ORs)
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for all clinical documentation
• Collaborate with support staff including Medical Assistants, a Clinical Support Associate (CSA), and an RN
• Manage adult patient population (18 and older), with potential for emergency torsion cases presenting during call
• Maintain Board Certification (BC or BE) in Urology
• Hold and maintain an active PA License or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
• Maintain an active DEA registration
• Meet a minimum of 1 year of experience in Urology
• Complete credentialing within the required 90-day timeframe
• Submit all required credentialing and compliance documentation within specified deadlines
