Job Title: MED-SURG
Location: Herrin, Illinois
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 4
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $62 – $67/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Herrin, Illinois. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:
• Provide patient care as a Registered Nurse on the Medical-Surgical unit
• Work night shift schedule
• Maintain a patient ratio of 5:1
• Obtain and maintain NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification for the medical stroke unit
• Deliver specialized care to stroke patients on the medical stroke unit
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes to appropriate team members
