Job Title: Neuro/ICU
Location: Rockford, Illinois
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $65 – $70/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Neuro/ICU for a temporary assignment in Rockford, Illinois. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Neuro/ICU:
• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act
• Document according to standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or hospital policy including patient and family instruction
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
• Utilize clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care
• Utilize critical thinking in regards to patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalate to the appropriate chain of command
• Maintain current IL License, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Float between Step-Down ICU and ICU units as needed
• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
