Job Title: Ambulatory Care
Location: Tuba City, Arizona
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $62 – $67/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Ambulatory Care for a temporary assignment in Tuba City, Arizona. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Ambulatory Care:
• Operate independently with limited oversight of the Staff Development Director in the role of Clinical Nurse Educator
• Align practice with the Association for Nursing Professional Development (NPD) scope and standards, fulfilling roles as learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, leader, champion for scientific inquiry, partner for practice transitions, and advocate for NPD specialty
• Utilize the nursing process to assess practice gaps, identify learning needs, facilitate positive learning environments, and evaluate outcomes
• Ensure high quality clinical practice for optimal patient care outcomes
• Manage staff onboarding and orientation programs
• Oversee competency management for clinical staff
• Provide department-specific educational training
• Manage AHA life safety compliance
• Implement evidence-based practice (EBP) and research initiatives
• Develop and offer staff role development opportunities
• Provide mentorship to clinical staff
• Support health program student placements
• Perform other educational support duties and requests as needed
• Participate in and partner with various committees including unit practice councils, risk management, quality improvement, ethics, and infection prevention
• Maintain current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Maintain current valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Attain ANCC Nursing Professional Development (NPD) specialty certification within one (1) year of hire if not already certified, and complete certification review course within six (6) months of hire
• Maintain a valid, current, full, and unrestricted Professional Nursing License throughout employment
