Job Title: Nuclear Med Tech
Location: Fresno, California
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $88 – $95/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Nuclear Med Tech for a temporary assignment in Fresno, California. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Nuclear Med Tech:
• Function as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist 2 / Scientific Technologist (Chemistry), fully trained and self-reliant with routine Nuclear Medicine Technologist techniques
• Perform the full spectrum of diagnostic imaging procedures and enhance the department and service line by providing optimal exams and procedures
• Work closely with the Nuclear Medicine Physician during therapeutic and diagnostic procedures
• Prepare radiopharmaceuticals and administer them to patients
• Use imaging devices to record the distribution of radiopharmaceuticals within a patient’s body
• Analyze biological specimens as required
• Maintain patient safety protocols throughout all procedures
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and regulatory agency requirements
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities
• Maintain current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Maintain valid State of California Certified Tech Nuclear Medicine license, including all scopes with venipuncture
• Hold and maintain required primary certification (NMTCB/CNMT or ARRT/N)
• Pursue additional post-primary advanced certifications preferred (ARRT/CT, NMTCB/PET, NMTCB/NCT)
• Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
