Job Title: ER MED-SURG
Location: Springfield, Massachusetts
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $72 – $77/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ER MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Springfield, Massachusetts. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a ER MED-SURG:
• Work in a large, high-acuity emergency care unit with 118 beds
• Manage a highly diverse patient population including behavioral health, boarding patients, emergency/trauma, and critically ill/ICU-level patients
• Maintain expected nurse-to-patient ratios of typically 1:6
• Demonstrate strong critical care skills, adaptability, and comfort in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Manage complex and unstable patients, including ICU-level care within the ED setting
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Have a minimum of 2 years of ED or ICU experience, post-orientation
• Be available for 3×12 or 4×12 shift schedules
• Must be located outside of a 90-mile radius from the facility
