Job Title: ICU
Location: Springfield, Massachusetts
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $68 – $74/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ICU for a temporary assignment in Springfield, Massachusetts. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a ICU:
• Float to Medical HVCC, SICU, and IMC units as needed
• Provide care in a 32-bed Medical ICU licensed for Neuro Critical Care patients, split between 2 floors
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2, or 1:1 when acuity requires
• Manage and care for patients with conditions including SEPSIS, ESRD, AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH, post cardiac arrest care, and Respiratory Failure
• Maintain current and valid BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Maintain current NIHSS certification
• Demonstrate strong ICU nursing skills with a minimum of 1 year experience in a Level 1 ICU, or 2 years preferred in a MICU setting
• Accommodate 48-hour contracts as required
• Must reside outside of a 90-mile radius from the facility
• Comply with all facility policies, procedures, and dress code requirements
• Complete all required pre-start and ongoing compliance documentation and certifications
