Job Title: ICU
Location: Kealakekua, Hawaii
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $68 – $74/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ICU for a temporary assignment in Kealakekua, Hawaii. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a ICU:
• Work in a 9-bed ICU with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1, unless a 1:1 ratio is indicated
• Potential to care for Med/Surg overflow patients, with ratios of up to 3-4 patients per nurse
• Work 12-hour day or night shifts on a schedule of 72 hours every two weeks
• Maintain a minimum staffing level of three nurses per shift
• Care for adult ICU patients, with occasional stable pediatric patients; unstable pediatric patients are transferred to a higher level of care
• May be assigned charge nurse duties as needed
• Float to other departments to provide assistance as needed (not responsible for taking a full team of patients)
• Maintain current PALS certification
• Possess and demonstrate pediatric nursing experience
