Job Title: Oncologist
Location: Ketchikan, Alaska
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $419 – $451/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Oncologist for a temporary assignment in Ketchikan, Alaska. These positions are 26-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Oncologist:
• Provide hematology/medical oncology services in an outpatient setting serving adult and geriatric patient populations
• Manage an average of 12–16 patients per day
• Perform Bone Marrow Biopsy procedures
• Provide infusion and medical oncology/hematology services
• Work independently in a solo provider capacity
• Maintain privileges for both hospital and clinic settings
• Utilize Epic EMR system for clinical documentation
• Maintain valid state license, DEA registration, and current BLS, ACLS, or PALS certification
• Provide documentation of hematology/medical oncology services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested during the previous 24 months
• Comply with flu vaccine requirements (medical/religious exemptions permitted)
• Complete 8 hours of non-billable orientation as required
• Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and credentialing requirements
