Location: Carlton, Colorado
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $77 – $83/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OR for a temporary assignment in Carlton, Colorado. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a OR:
• Provide direct patient care within all three areas of surgical services: Pre-op, OR/Circulator, and PACU
• Function as a primary care giver with the ability to work independently in all three surgical service areas
• Conduct patient assessments and document care accordingly
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families
• Coordinate patient transfers as needed
• Recover patients in the PACU following surgical procedures
• Circulate surgical cases including General, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology (cataract surgery), and Orthopedic surgeries
• Assist with processing instruments and equipment in central sterilizing
• Prepare patients for surgery in the pre-operative area
• Assist other staff members and provide patient education
• Apply knowledge of and interest in technical procedures and patient care
• Adhere to principles of infection control and general department policies
• Follow national standards through IAHCSMM, AORN, ASGE, and ASPAN
• Work a 40-hour work week including weekdays, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Participate in rotational surgical call averaging 1 to 2 days per week and every other or every third weekend
• Perform effectively in highly stressful situations and interact with a wide variety of people
• Maintain current Colorado RN licensure and required certifications including ACLS
