Job Title: RRT
Location: Mammoth Lakes, California
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $52 – $56/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a RRT for a temporary assignment in Mammoth Lakes, California. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a RRT:
• Perform all respiratory care services for patients across all age groups including geriatric, adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
• Manage ventilators and provide nebulized medication therapy, oxygen therapy, specialty gas administration, chest physiotherapy, aerosol therapy, and mist tent therapy
• Conduct quality assurance and improvement activities and perform charge capture review
• Perform diagnostic procedures including 12-lead ECGs, simple pulmonary function testing, and pulse oximetry
• Assist physicians with cardiac stress testing
• Perform arterial and capillary punctures to determine oxygenation, acid-base balance, and efficiency of ventilation and metabolism
• Ensure adequate ventilation and oxygenation during cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Collaborate closely with other members of the healthcare team and participate in the Rapid Response Team
• Record treatments and patients’ responses in respiratory care records and patient charts
• Assess patients, their needs, and ability to tolerate treatment, and reassess based on their response to treatment
• Perform independent professional respiratory care diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Conduct clinical evaluation of care including establishment of therapeutic objectives and review of care
• Provide respiratory therapy modalities per protocol or as ordered by physicians
• Demonstrate proficiency in the use and operation of respiratory equipment
• Participate in continuing education related to respiratory care
