Job Title: CVICU
Location: Great Falls, Montana
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 4
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $65 – $70/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a CVICU for a temporary assignment in Great Falls, Montana. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a CVICU:
• Provide care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients in a cardiac medical surgical unit
• Provide physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients
• Care for anticipated patient populations including but not limited to pediatrics, pre and post PCI care, pacemaker, revascularization, carotid endarterectomy, thoracotomy, CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, DVT, PE, sepsis, and a broad scope of surgical services
• Perform skilled assessment and intervention for patients with potentially deteriorating conditions
• Operate advanced medical equipment including central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, A-lines, multiple IVs, and patients requiring short-term ventilation support
• Provide care for general medical and surgical patients on the inpatient unit
• Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision
• Act as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff
• Provide direct patient care from admission to discharge, including discharge planning
• Perform basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation
• Maintain current State of Montana RN Licensure
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Receive direction from Providers, Charge Nurse, ICU Director, and CNO
• Give direction to LPNs, CNAs, Housekeeping Staff, and Dietary Staff
• Work cooperatively with Providers, Healthcare Professionals, and Allied Health Staff
