Job Title: L&D
Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 4
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $72 – $77/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a L&D for a temporary assignment in Nashua, New Hampshire. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a L&D:
• Deliver care to pregnant and laboring women, newborns, children, and families across the continuum of care and across the woman’s lifespan
• Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with AWHONN Standards For Professional Nursing Practice in the Care of Women and Newborns, 7th Edition (2009)
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
• Effectively interact with patients and their significant others while maintaining the standards of professional nursing
• Assist the obstetrician, pediatrician, anesthesia team, and healthcare team in their tasks to care for the patient
• Provide circulation experience and willingness to care for GYN surgical and general post-op patients
• Provide post-partum care with a minimum of 5 years of labor and post-partum experience
• Maintain active RN License and current BLS certification
• Work every 3rd weekend as required
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and possess good oral and written communication skills
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Demonstrate patient-centered and patient-valued behaviors
• Maintain organization and achieve a high level of accuracy in daily work
• Perform other general responsibilities as assigned
